Senior Accountant (Geel)

You will combine a Capital Accounting function in all it's aspects with a General Accounting/Tax income function as assistant to the Accounting Manager

Tasks

Capital Accounting (70%)

- Fixed Assets accounting following Belgian GAAP and US GAAP
- Performing close outs of capital projects (tagging, administration, placing in service)
- Following up of the procurement flow
- Performing month end closures (depreciation run)
- Be the Capex Financial project administrator in liaison with the project engineers
- Coordinate the capital forecast and budget
- Assist with audits (internal and external)
- Be the financial partner in the Project Portfolio management

General Accounting / Tax income (30%)

- Assist the preparation of the Annual Statements
- Forecast for statutory and corporate tax accruals

Profile

- Bachelor (or Master) in Finance or Economics or equivalent through experience
- Experience with MFG-PRO and Oracle or SAP is a plus
- Good knowledge of SOX
- Proven ability to close out issues in a timely & effective manner
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and team player skills are required
- Highly motivated
- Pro-active approach
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience working in finance with a minimum of capital experience in a pharmaceutical or biologics production environment
